You should really know him by now - after all, Thomas Ringler is the on-site present BMW instructor every training that Malelobo performs at the enduro park "Ultraterrain". The Swiss born is the project manager for the superstructure constructions in "real life", but his passion clearly belongs to enduro riding. And when you realize that the 48-year-old made the motorbike driving license only nine years ago, his vita becomes even more impressive.
For a long time, motorcycling was only a dream for Thomas - not easy to achieve with three small children at home. In 2008 he decided not to wait any longer. He made his driving license and bought his first bike: a BMW R 1100 GS. His dealer asked him then if he would like to come to Hechlingen for an enduro-training and that's when everything started. It was not only that one training, he also regularly took part at the BMW Trophy qualifiers, and suddenly to his surprise, he became a Trophy participant - at the BMW GS Trophy 2014 in Canada.
And now he's an instructor at Malelobo. "A job that you cannot imagine doing, but only suddenly when you are the one standing there and talking", says Thomas objectively - as his usually does. "You suddenly bear the responsibility and want everyone to have fun while training and learning at the same time."
The "Enduropark Ultraterrain Meichle + Mohr" has become something like his home course. He prefers to drive the forest rounds: "They are so wonderfully diverse. Some parts are easy for everyone, even for beginners. Others are technically so demanding that there is no room for driving errors. If you do not look ahead, you will not be able to get through in one fell swoop." Thomas considers the park as very diversified. This is mainly due to the fact that the park operators are continually adding new driving sections: "It is never boring. No one can say that is always the same routine. "
A highlight for all participants, of course, is the longest sand track north of the Sahara. Daunting in its entire length, especially when it's full of driving lanes. All the more amazing that you can drive it anyway - only with completely different technique than usual trained at enduro driving courses. "I explain then to all participants that the steering is only possible in combination of the shifting of your body weight with the pressure of your knee. This is not easy, of course, but the best thing is to see how it suddenly works ", says the Swiss with a grin on his face.
In any case, it is exactly why he is so fond of the trainings: the laughter in the faces of the participants after a successful training day - that is something he definitely does not want to miss.

When you think of Spain, you think about the sun, the sea and the beach. But the Iberian peninsula has also something else to offer: our "BMW Enduro Park Aras de los Olmos" - just one hunderd kilometers from Valencia. In the middle of the mountains, at the altitude of 1.000 meters, there is everything the sea cannot offer: kilometers of dirt roads, winding slopes, countless trails ... just everything that makes a heart of an enduro driver beat faster.
We train in small groups in the park and then explore the beautiful outback with the bikes, go to lunch in typical country style pubs and treat ourselves with a great "Cafe cortado". In the evening, back in the hotel, there are finest tapas or other famous Spanish dishes. All this is a part of the enduro riding in Spain. Driving off-road means not only riding a motorcycle, it is also one of the most beautiful ways to enjoy life.
Our dates for year 2018 will be available here in August this year.

We will soon be back in the enduro paradise - South Africa. Being really impressive for all of us, we are planning some new tours in 2018 to this land of the extremes. Hardly any country in the world is so diversified - so different. Apart from the many wild animals, who would have known that South Africa, with its 20.000 species of plants, is one of the most manifold spots on earth. There are so many ways to experience this beautiful landscape on the bike and to let it impress you with it's unique beauty.
Here is a short overview, what else you can expect on this trip: We start, as usual, on Jan du Toits farm "Country Trax". On a first day on the farm, we will have a short enduro driving training in order to be well equipped for the coming days. Then, the following days we will ride our bikes over Swaziland to the Indian Ocean and back again. An exciting tour through sand, gravel, wonderful landscapes and the exotic animal world - only to be found just south of the equator.
The year 2018 dates will be availabe here in August!
My nickname "Malelobo" (the big bad wolf) provides my company name. Virtually all routes are designed and accompanied by me. My experience, as a former head coach in the Enduro Park Hechlingen and as a coach of the International Instructor Academy, is at your disposal when planing and creating our offers.
I share with Tomm the passion of offroad driving and support him where possible. I am responsible for all the tasks and actions and as such I have to have all under control. Of course I will not miss a chance to take part on some of the tours or trainings when possible.
INSTRUCTOR & PROJECTS
I discovered my passion for offroad driving in year 2011, during my first participation at the GS Trophy Qualifier Germany. From that time on various Malelobo trainings and trips to Morocco and Portugal followed. Through the friendship to Tomm and Steph, we have developed a business relationship, that we launched at the end of year 2014. Within the Malelobo I convert Tomm's ideas into projects and also try to support existing projects administratively.
I ride motorcycles since 1991 and with great passion especially off-road. I learned about Enduro Park Aras de los Olmos during Alto Turia Rally in 2003 and soon after that I booked a HP2 special training with Tomm. As a participant of the GS Trophy 2014 in Canada I laid the foundation for my instructor training in year 2015 and for the work with the malelobo GmbH.
I developed my passion for enduro riding through many Malelobo trainings and participation in various enduro events, such as the Erzberg or the Krka Endure Raid.
This was crowned with the participation in the international GS Trophy 2014 in Canada.
Today as a BMW motorcycle instructor (IIA) I am very happy to support the team of Malelobo and to professionally exercise my 15-year old passion of enduro riding.
I ride motorcycles since 2007 and after various off-road experiences I qualified for the international BMW Motorrad GS Trophy 2014 in Canada. There I met Tomm Wolf and his love and enthusiasm for our hobby. Since 2015, I am also a BMW Motorrad certified instructor (IIA) and now I am looking forward to be a part of Malelobo team. I hope to be able to infect even more motorcyclists with the off-road virus.
